Just got back from watching Journey to the Centre of the Earth. I have to say that it’s pretty awesome tho it’s only like 1 and a half hour long. I liked it better than the mummy. I’ve already envisioned myself in the roller coaster/free fall ride at the universal studio hehe.
It’s been exhausting catching all these action flicks including the x-files, the dark knight and hellboy 2.
Hey where’re all the comedies?
I wanna watch The House Bunny & Baby Mama.

Here’s an overdue pix of a 1 year old boy birthday bash which I attended two weeks back.

Dining under a marquee with a steady flow of brewerkz’s golden ale & BBQ yummies.
What a lovely celebration for the lucky boy though he may be too young to understand all the fuss.
However I’m sure he’s quite pleased with the tons of pressies he received that night.
If you’re happy and you know it clap your hands…and he certainly did!

I was invited to the Bazaar/Sisley event.
I was a bit uncertain about attending as I have very sensitive skin.
I’m also extremely lazy in terms of my skincare regime.
Anyhow I thought I would give it a go and made an appointment for today.
I’m glad that I went as the facial treatment and thermal hand massage were simply heavenly!
The moisturizer and restorative cream that were laden with essential oils smell really wonderful.
My face emerged revitalized and supple.

Dinner Menu:

2 Medium-sized Black Pepper Crabs $88
Is it expensive?
I’d better stick to the one at still road.

I left home at 6pm without realizing that ERP charges has gone up to *gasps* $3 to get into City Hall while carparking set me back at $5.50. It seems that per entry charges peg at $5 is becoming a norm these days.
Since I’m still early, I decided to have my dinner here:
The best thing about the alfresco here has got to be the spectacular river view.
I managed to capture the pink sunset. Pretty!
There’s the ndp stage! Wish I have tickets *hopeful*
If you have extras to spare, pls let me know. Many thanks!

Pre-show: A group of roving magicians were seen keeping the crowd entertained with card/rope tricks.
Being fans of david blaine and criss angel, I have always enjoyed magic.
This is my first time going to a live magic show.
Magicbox is a story told with illusions.
Due to the storyline, the dialogues were a lil lengthy at some scenes.
That aside, we were treated to an array of classic magic tricks e.g., doves and sawing of man into half
to newer illusions like the mesmerizing levitation and spikes of doom.
I feel that the production is of international standard.
The charismatic magicians and their professional showmanship will keep you spellbound!

I totally dig ice-cream especially so when an exotic flavour crops up.
Introducing:

Melon Ice Cream
(also known as Musk Melon/Canteloupe)
I tried the soft serve version at the hokkaido fair over the weekend.
The taste is very close to the real fruit.
Imagine my delight when I spotted the Häagen-Dazs Melon Ice Cream at the supermarket today.
I got the Mango & Passion Fruit as well.

YUM YUM
Btw I was having this for supper last night:
100% homemade cheesy kartoffel with bacon bits.
Gonna try making cheese nachos next time.
Anybody knows how to make the cheese dips like those selling at the cinema snack counter?
~~~~~~~~~~
Anyway while shopping this week, I spotted this uber cute hair tie:
*squeals*
A Hot Fuchsia Baby Grand!
Though exorbitantly priced, I still bought it as I have a weakness for any musical accessories
and before I end this post,
The DTKC vibe is evidently not rubbing off yet.
Bye!
Oh How I Miss the Old Days
After we’re done at the salon,
Bff Ling firmly declare that we should refrain from shopping today
as it will be quite unglam to carry shopping bags to a fashion show.
Since we’re still an hour early,
a short stopover at Miu Miu and Chanel wouldn’t hurt right?
Wrong, Ling spotted two items at Miu Miu and promptly bought them.
Making her guilty of the earlier proclaimation and lugging an expensive “doorgift” to the show.
New Chanel lemmings alert:
moon & star crystal loop earrings
vintagy classy pearl earrings
*pretty*
And so we finally made it to the arabian night
where we were greeted by a snake and bunch of hunks.
Those abs are dangerously HAWT!
Celebs like Hossan Leong (err what is he doing there?!?) and
the overly enthusiastic Cynthia McQuarrie aka ah girl
were spotted among the audience.
I *heart* the maxisssss and the togasssss.
Looks like my purse is going to bleed again.
We left the show immediately when it ended coz we were hungry and ordered:
Till the next outing ling =)
It’s at a hotel this time round. Sounds exciting. Will be going with my bff.
Dresscode is sexy after sundown.
The Spring Collection in March 2008:
Party reports tomorrow! Stay Tuned!
Btw, just had my french pedicure done by A. I’ve known her since 2000.
She’s seriously the best after I’ve been through to so many different shops.
Her work is extremely thorough.
I’m soaking in the sheer bliss of smooth heels right now =D
and yes this new pair of black gladiator heels completes the family.
A sudden phonecall bearing grim news jolted me from my pc. It was the most preposterous thing I’ve heard since April Fools. Unfortunately it was all true. OMG! Fond memories of our dear friends came flooding back. Tears started welling up in my eyes. I say a silent prayer.
As we grieve the death of our friend, we wish his wife a speedy recovery. May she have the strength and courage to pull through this difficult period of time. For the children, please stay strong!
Edited to note: I started tearing badly when I finally saw her.
I was at an utter loss for words.
I held her hands and we both cried.
I’m so glad that she pulled through this terrible ordeal and is much better already.
Life is fragile. Treasure your loved ones.
Scrumptious Lunch
and Shopping!
Went to check out flea-tique @ SAM.
The stalls are all right under the sweltering heat.
It was unbelievably hot.
Hence I stayed for only 15 minutes before I made a dash to the car.
Here’s a close up of the ギフト necklace which I wore today:
and I brought Miss Silver Kate along. She’s my favourite at the moment.
Gonna take a nap now.
